I'm peering into the distance
At all its panoramic beauty
But there's some fog on my glasses
And it won't rub off
I'm looking over the ledge
To a valley that calls my name
But see that little mark on my parachute
Why, it could be a hole
I'm standing here alone
Same as you are
But my complaints and fatigue
Aren't enough to get this gum off my shoe
And I'm waiting
Waiting for something
Waiting for nothing
Waiting to be comfortably poisoned once again
But you're staying
I scream and I push and I am so goddamn stubborn
And you won't leave
You won't freakin' leave
I'm changing
Slowly, I'm changing
My heart beats quickly
And I'm remembering why
I'm asking
I'm asking you, I'm asking me
I'm asking Time
To help repair this hole
And I'm hoping you have the glue.
